The SuperAwesome Website Privacy Policy

The SuperAwesome website privacy policy (“Site Privacy Policy”) only applies to (“Site”), and not to any third party websites or mobile applications to which we may link. Additionally, it does not apply to any advanced services we provide, such as our advertising platform, AwesomeAds. This Site Privacy Policy and the certification seal shown on our Site confirm that SuperAwesome is a valid licensee, and participating member, of the Entertainment Software Rating Board’s Privacy Certified Program (“ESRB Privacy Certified”). ESRB Privacy Certified is designed to ensure that our information collection, use and disclosure practices are responsible and appropriate. To protect your privacy, we have voluntarily undertaken this privacy initiative, and our Site where this Site Privacy Policy is posted has been reviewed and certified by ESRB Privacy Certified to meet established online information collection, use and disclosure practices. As a licensee of this privacy program, we are subject to frequent audits of our Site and other enforcement and accountability mechanisms administered independently by ESRB Privacy Certified.

1. What is being collected and used on the Site?

Personal information
Personal information is information that can be used to identify and contact you (such as a full name or email address). We collect personal information from users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when they visit the Site, register on the Site, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. We allow for the online submission of resumes. Please be advised that information contained in a job applicant’s resume is not subject to the terms of any other section of this Site Privacy Policy. The information obtained in these instances will only be used for the purpose of accepting and evaluating your submission for a job, contacting you, your previous employers and your references.

3. How we protect and retain your information

We adopt and implement appropriate and industry-standard security practices regarding the collection, storage and processing practices of your data, including using SSL-secured communication channels, firewall-protected servers and 128-bit encryption for personal information provided via the Site. We also take necessary security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our servers.

We have also put in place manual safeguards such as limited employee access and confidentiality agreements.

Despite our best efforts, no security measure is ever perfect or impenetrable. In the event that we experience a data breach involving unencrypted personal information, we will notify users by email and/or by posting notice on the affected Site.

We will retain your personal information in this secure manner for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the services. Please also note that our blog posts, some of which include comments from website visitors, may be retained for up to 2 years. After this period, we will remove the public-facing blog post and associated comments.
